Although the two come in a virtual tie here...the edge goes to Piano.
The flawless logic goes as follows. Country Music is at it's strongest with a guitar twanging away in the background. And although guitar can be used for good..it can be used for unspeakable evils such as country music. Piano cannot be utilized in this evil fashion the way guitar can. Edge to PIANO!.
also...country music makes me feel like I should be fucking a cow. Anything that can make me feel like that should never be allowed to exist! Piano is champion status forever and always.
I just don't know!! Rollo does make a great point--the first one, not the second.
I think I'll also go with piano. I think it's easier to learn just a little on the guitar and get away with seeming like you're playing. Learning to sound even slightly proficient on the piano is harder.
I'm physically retarded in the playing of both instruments, so it all seems like magic to me.
I`ll need to spend lots of money in professional help to remove the ROLLO-COW duet from my head. No matter how hard I try, they keep comming back performing the entire Kamasutra. Anyway, my answer is PIANO.
The country music twang can usually be blamed on a slide guitar or dobro, not a regular guitar. Although I guess you could interpret the question broadly enough to include those.
A fairer comparison than pianos vs. animal husbandry, if we're trying apply these choices to the real world, would be Billy Joel vs. Jimi Hendrix. Or "Imagine" vs. "Blackbird".
For me, it comes down to more basic factors: The piano is mechanical and unwieldy, unportable and limited to 88 pitches. Complicated to tune. Constrictive. The guitar is skin-on-string, immediate -- the people's instrument.
Alex and Carla! So easily swayed...good to know. However, Carl's argument wasn't so persuasive as it was simply bitter that he hasn't mastered the superior of the two instruments. I see an angry sadness in him.
It's okay, Carl. There's still time. You're young.
I know there's no premium on having people (other than the Decider) agree with you, but I can't allow some of the nonsense I'm reading here to pass without comment.
Russell, you are a genius subject changer and misinformation spreader. It's not me doing the deception this time, I'm afraid. Guitars are whatever handedness you want them to be. Prevalance doesn't equal bias. But don't take my word for it -- witness Jimi and Paul.
Carla, as your name-mate it hurts me to call you a weak-minded fool, but I can't believe you're being led astray by Russell's blubbering rants. If there was ever an important time to assert your independence of thought, regardless of what your boyfriend says, this is it. I'm just saying.

I might change my mind.

Hahaha champion status.
Apparently the dilemma has become
Piano vs CowFucking

But JB you're so good at Guitar Hero!
Which is like piano and guitar put together, actually now that I think about it.
Although i am better at the piano, my answer is guitar.
I love the sound of the guitar. I always wanted to marry a man who can play guitar- especially spanish or classical.
But instead i got myself a SPANISH guy and no guitar. He's getting one for his birthday.
Guitar.
And I completely agree with Russell, Country music makes me nauseas. But doesn't the 'twang' come another instrument?
I love how Natalia's comment implies that she plays the guitar. Ha!

My choice? Guitar.
Wow. Carl convinced me to go with guitar.
Wow Carl, you might have convinced me too......
........ yup, guitar.
First off Carl is a master at deception. Might I remind you that guitar has birthed such monsters as
Air Guitar...
Head banging...
The Guitar guy at the party (and we all know you hate that guy, I know I do)
Sweaty beasts such as:
Gene Simmons
Slash
Guitar is a right handed biased instrument and being left handed I am offended!
-Russell
Sweaty beasts.... now that's a good point...
piano, final answer.

JB, you're an angry sadness!
I think it's time for a decision. Carl's mind has been let outside without a leash and we as a board should not allow this madness to continue!
Piano...obviously.
Guitar. Portability and ease of use.
Guitar. No explaination needed.
The answer: Guitar
