basically i hate every sound that comes out of a trumpet, and woodwinds can be an entire ensemble within their own category... an entire ensemble of brass instruments would just piss me off.
It was while Nan was playing the trombone and I was playing the tuba, that he set me and Carl up on a future date. That future date, has now turned into 13 years of dating and almost 6 years of marriage. I will also point out that the future date led to JB & Alex's wedding, 3 years of marriage, NINA and the sequel. All of which wouldn't have happened if Nan and I hadn't been sitting in the Brass section!
After listening to a delightful tape in which our Decider performs perfectly at Oberling High School (Ade kept it right next to Tony Bennet`s Gratest Hits), I can`t think of one reason to go for the woodwinds. So my answer is The Woodwinds.

Is the saxophone a woodwind instrument? I hate saxophones.
But I also largely dislike the brass instruments I see listed there.
It's so hard to blow into an oboe or clarinet and get a real note.
Why is the flute a woodwind? What does "woodwind" mean?
My answer: Woodwinds. That's such a pretty word.
Woodwinds...
If he's not trying to shoot the moon, I don't know what thought process Russell is using in coming up with his answers.
After all, the Decider is a brass player, and by his own logic that should be important.
That's not why I'm disagreeing with him, though. I'm saying it as someone who's played and enjoyed both, albeit at a pretty amateur level.
For the tuba alone, the answer is brass.
Tuba Power! Brass is so the answer!

How can you compete with that?
Damn Julia... no one can compete with that!
Yet I still choose woodwinds :)

Ouch Juan, that hurt. I played the flute in that band! We were perfection.
Woodwinds, please.
As a former trombone player myself, gotta go with the brass here.
The answer: Brass.
Woodwinds are necessary, but usually annoying. The angels play brass instruments (and harps, but they're neither brass nor woodwind).
