Mister Rogers' Neighborhood?

or

Sesame Street?

Mr. Rogers. Although it's a very, very tough call.

For me it comes down to the sheer warmth and patience and honesty of Fred Rogers himself. People like that -- not just TV shows -- are few and far between.

Sesame street.

There are too many creepy things in Mr. Rogers' neighborhood.

1) There was a character named Mr. McFeely

2) Lady Elaine Fairchild looks like Quinton Tarantino

(I've provided a visual for you)

3)Fred Rogers looks and acts like my horrible 8th grade algebra teacher.

4) Sesame street never appeared in my nightmares and I'm willing to bet it never appeared in yours either.

Let me clarify that mostly Lady Fairchild's puppet is what freaked me out so much...

I am mostly unfamiliar with both. Mr. Roger's show was creepily quiet and dull to me--I didn't enjoy watching.

I guess I'll go with Sesame Street then.

Like JB, I don't know much about either of these shows, but it was because I was watching the Thundercats. But I agree, very boring.

I guess I would have to vote for Sesame Street, because it can stand the test of time. It's still on, right?? Although I recently learned that the Cookie Monster has been banned because he promotes gluttenous (sp?)eating habits...because clearly he was the reason why kids are fat now.

My answer should be NONE, but I really need to score some points so,... SESAME STREET !!! just because I`ve never heard about Mr. Rogers

I have to go with Mister Rogers - it takes brains and guts to create and maintain a successful children's show that is as subdued and dulcet as that one.

I love Sesame Street, but I don't like where it's gone in the last few years: Cookie Monster's transformation, Snuffalufagous being seen by all, and the introduction of Elmo and the new fairy/pixie Muppet, as just a few examples.

Shows have to change a little to keep up with the times. Mr. Roger's show isn't even still around to do that. I'm just saying: one lasted, one didn't.

Does no one agree with my Tarantino/Fairchild comparison?!

Fred was kind enough to switch his shoes and sweaters.

Oscar sat in a trash can.

Mr. Roger's Neighborhood wins.
